Who doesn't love them?!

Amy and I have recently been perusing and possibly purchasing some from the wonderful Headstrong Bindis. I worry sometimes that we're becoming addicted to all things ATS and BellyDance in general, but is that really such a bad thing?

We will get some photos of us in them up on here following our Hoochie Coochie gig next week! If anyone knows of any other fabulous bindi suppliers, or even better, places to get good supplies to make them your self, let us know. I find I look at the world, and tacky costume jewelery in a whole other light nowadays....'could I cut up that bit and use it here? Hum....'

All I can say is.....sparklicious!

Hugs and smiles all round,
S xx

If you get photos of you wearing them you can go in her Rogue's Gallery. Good PR for her and us!

I've got a few Headstrong Bindis which are gorgeous. Angela Noble at Tribe Zuza in Newcastle also makes them or there is Big Ass Bindis but you have to pay shipping from the US.

I'm thinking of having a go at making some, just cos I like making things and have got a few sparkly bits which are too small for other stuff. I did see a link to a tutorial on Tribe but can't find it at the mo.

That's after I finish converting a gypsy skirt into ruffle pants.

Ha ha, I went to peacocks the other day and bought some very cheep sparkly earing in the sale, got them home and broke them up to make bindis! I'm rubbish at that sort of thing though so passed them to Kelley!

Basically i think you just need to get some sheets of plastic (possibly that ascetate (sp?) stuff that they use for overhead projectors in the days before powerpoint) and glue your sparkly bits to it and cut it out. Best ask Kel though as she's better at these types of things!

Yep - superglue the bits on to acetate then carefully cut round the shape and hey presto!!

Not a lot of people know this but... our resident artist Ness had taken up a new hobby and is currently knocking up some fabulous Bindi's.

Hopefully some of her very pretty creations will be for sale at our next Oasis and at Thursday night classes.
